Course Description:
Our Advanced Manufacturing course is designed to provide students a unique opportunity to be trained on and work with the highest level industry technology. Students will also be required to work in a professional fashion in preparation for higher level educational opportunities or to move straight into industry level or technical employment. Students will be provided CTE Robotics/Manufacturing transcript that provide information on number of hours trained, certifications, and a detailed breakdown of trainings sessions.

Develop stronger work habits and become more employable in any industry.
Be proficient in running, maintaining, and troubleshooting industry level equipment including…
o HAAS CNC Machines
o Intelitek CNC Machines
o Makerbot/Dremel 3D printers
o Universal Laser Engraving Systems
o Baleigh Press Brake
o Scotchman Iron workers
o ArcLight Plasma Cutting Systems
o MillerMatic 215/255 welders
o Most industry level hand and power tools
o Miter, table, and band saws
o Industry level wood working machines (lathe, jointer, planer, etc…)
Gain a deeper understanding of the design process through investigation, collaboration, and research.
Learn that failing is okay and how to respond to failure and learn from this process.
Become more proficient at CAD modeling and design.
Develop a digital portfolio to use for college entrance or increase chance of employment after graduation.
Complete at least one, year end, collaborative project using the design process as a guide.
